Eruciform Chair

The Eruciform Chair by Manifold explores an alternative understanding of interior space. While humans intuitively organize space through the hierarchy of floor, wall, and ceiling, many species move freely across all surfaces without recognizing such distinctions. Inspired by the locomotion of a caterpillar, the chair extends limb-like legs beyond the base and along the back, creating a form that suggests a body climbing vertically. The piece proposes a different spatial perspective by translating the movement logic of another species into furniture.
